City and Landscape

The natural world is mind blowing. Michael’s experiences with places such as the Sahara Desert or Kenyan rainforests have shown him the overwhelming power and energy of wild spaces, but also how human culture influences them. Humans, as a species, have changed many of these landscapes and have propped up their structures, both in awe of their surroundings, and also with their back turned to them. How is this relationship manifested throughout the world? What effects does our species have on this space, and what influence does this space have on us? How does this interaction impact the conservation of this space and the animals that live amongst and alongside it? With this collection, Michael takes the wildest scenes to the most urban to explore these concepts and add his photographic perspective to this topic.
