Portraits

I see many portraits that are focused only on lighting, or in composition, and those are wonderful in their own regard, but the question I ask is who are you? How can I capture the complexity of the story taking part in front of me? Socioeconomic class, the unique pressures of a society, the lifestyle, how does this tell stories in the wrinkles on a face, the clothes one wears, or the tools one uses? Many of these are not traditional portraits one would find in another portfolio, but if they captured some, or all of these elements, I threw them in here. Do I enjoy taking traditional portraits? Immensely, but what keeps me up at night are images like these, and I hope you enjoy them too.
